CAMPAIGN LAUNCH - HEALTHY INDOORS ALLIANCE COMMITTED TO BETTER AIR- AND LIGHTING QUALITY IN SWEDISH SCHOOLS

Pfäffikon, Switzerland - Condair is proud to be part of the latest campaign led by the Healthy Indoors Alliance on good air quality and lighting conditions in Swedish schools.

Healthy Indoors, a collaboration between market leaders Condair Group, Camfil,  Fagerhult and Swegon, has this week launched its latest initiative, the awareness campaign: "Teachers deserve better air and better light". The campaign, which is being run in collaboration with the industry organization Swedish Teachers, aims to highlight the importance of good air quality and lighting conditions in schools.

Healthy Indoors was founded about two years ago with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of healthy and sustainable indoor environments, with a focus on air and light quality. Initially launched in Sweden and conducted in Swedish, the campaign is based on Healthy Indoors' collaboration with Swedish teachers. In many other countries, however, the school environment is often neglected, so the campaign may be put on a broader footing in the future.

"Unfortunately, too many Swedish schools have a poor indoor environment, which leads to higher absenteeism, poorer performance and worse working conditions. It is unacceptable that half of the teachers perceive the indoor climate as poor or very poor, according to a new survey by Swedish Teachers," says Malin Höij from Healthy Indoors. “Buildings serve three main purposes. First, they must provide a protective structure. Secondly, they must optimise energy consumption. And thirdly they must protect people's health.”, said Oliver Zimmermann, CEO of Condair Group AG.
